On this annual day of giving thanks, it’s a nice time to pause and reflect on those people and things that have helped us this year. And it’s also a nice calm before the storm that tends to accompany the madness of Christmas shopping. So for this piece, I’ll list some of the things I am thankful for this year.
This year I was introduced to someone that truly changed my life. A wonderful soul who has a calming influence my crazy. And someone that I am thankful for each and every day. So while I may not know what the future holds, what I do know is that AB makes me better. And for that, I am eternally thankful and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
As a lifelong fan of pro wrestling, the last decade-plus has been difficult at times to watch. But this year with the launch of AEW on TNT, wrestling is red hot. Competition is always better because it pushes WWE to step up their game. And for that, I am thankful.
Astros Getting Caught
Now this one comes from a bitter place, I’ll admit. Having to watch my New York Yankees be dismissed from the playoffs in 2017 and now again in 2019 it was difficult to watch. Now knowing that Houston was cheating, my frustration feels justified. And while I have to say it was an ingenious scheme to be successful it was still cheating. And Major League Baseball and Commissioner Rob Manfred must hand out a stiff penalty. Otherwise, it leaves the door open for more of the same.
I want to say that I am blessed to have the family that I do. No matter the normal highs and lows that come with family we find a way through. And for that, I am truly thankful.
And finally, I am thankful for the Laracuente Ledger, in all its stages. From this website to the podcast version we had, to now on YouTube, the Ledger has given me an ability to express and share my thoughts feelings and emotions over the last couple of years. And now it’s giving that same opportunity to others. We have Zach Just Zach, who penned an article for us a few years ago about a Joker origin movie. And a new artist that you must check out in Chris Grant Jr. So while the Ledger has undergone some changes, at its core it’s about family. And for that I am thankful.
So thank you for taking the time to read this piece. And I hope that you enjoy a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
