Over the past week courtesy of San Diego Comic-Con, we would receive all kinds of news about the next phase in Marvel Studios, MCU. So for this piece, we will look at three upcoming Phase 4 projects that have us the most intrigued.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
If anyone isn’t aware of the bromance between Anthony Mackie (Falcon) & Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), then you haven’t been paying attention. And this film should be jam-packed with hilarious moments between the two real-life friends. But what makes this movie so intriguing is about both characters connection to Captain America. Even the film logo has Captain America’s influence all over it. And we know that at the end if Avengers End Game, Captain America would give his shield to Falcon. How this movie addresses the loss of Cap and the rising up of Falcon, and the Winter Soldier makes this movie an instant favorite.
Thor: Love and Thunder
This title intrigues me for a different reason to the last. If the rumors are to believed, the fourth installment of Thor will be about a new Thor. A Thor played by Natalie Portman, known in the MCU as Jane Foster. Now the cameo by Portman and her appearance at the premiere of End Game makes sense. At the time of this writing, I am still unsure about how I feel about this premise. I will need to see and hear more about the idea before I could truly make a judgment on it. But as it stands, this is an intriguing part of phase 4 of the MCU.
Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
With the introduction of the Multiverse in Avengers End Game, the MCU is now open-ended. What do I mean by open-ended? Well, it’s quite simple the Multiverse allows for the introduction of the newly (re)acquired characters that we’re under Fox control. Dr. Strange is the perfect introducer was well because if the mystical nature of his character. How the brain trust of the MCU implement this aspect will arguably be the most intriguing entry into the fourth phase of the MCU.
