Fight for the Fallen the third event from All Elite Wrestling was held this past Saturday night. And with many main event level matches on the card AEW is looking to dominate the head-to-head battle with WWE. So we recap AEW Fight for the Fallen.
Buy-In
Pete Avalon vs. Sonny Kiss
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 1.5/5
Actual Winner: Sonny Kiss
The opening exchange between the two competitors would show off the athleticism of Sonny Kiss. We would also see the bad side of Pete Avalon. The matchup had a brisk pace and showed off the athleticism of both individuals. And was an excellent start to the Buy-In
Women’s Division Tag Team Match: Britt Baker & Riho vs. Bea Priestley & Shoko Nakajima
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 2.25/5
Actual Winner: Shoko Nakajima & Bea Priestley
The opening moments would see a beautiful exchange between Dr. Britt Baker and Shoko Nakajima. Baker would take the aggressive approach at the outset. But the tide would ultimately turn for Baker. When Riho made her way into the match, the pace would briefly pick up. Until a crossbody attempt on Bea Priestley. Bea Priestley and Shoko Nakajima would begin to target the left arm of Riho. Riho would finally make her way free of the abuse and pick the pace back up. The match would turn into a slugfest by Riho and Shoko. And Dr. Baker and Priestley would get in on that action as well. There would be a ton of near falls in this match. And ultimately the team of Bea Priestley & Shoko Nakajima would be victorious.
Main Card
6-Man Tag Team Match: MJF, Sammy Guevara, & Shawn Spears vs. Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, & Joey Janela
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 4.5/5
Predicted Winner: Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc, & Darby Allin
Actual Winner: Shawn Spears, Sammy Guevara, MJF
MJF would begin the match against Joey Janela, but quickly Jimmy Havoc would get into the matchup. Havoc would display his technical ability on MJF. Joey Janela and Sammy Guevara and square off next. Followed by Darby Allin and Shawn Spears. Darby Allin is so quick it’s truly impressive. Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara would work well together. But as expected, MJF and Spears would not be so cohesive. The action would start ramping up, and the strikes would get stiffer. Sammy Guevara would put on an incredible display of his skill and talent. But ultimately, it would be the cunning and opportunistic nature of Shawn Spears that would deliver the victory for his side.

Allie vs. Brandi Rhodes
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 1.75/5
Predicted Winner: Allie
Actual Winner: Brandi Rhodes
This match would be with a “handshake,” but then Awesome Kong would appear. A big part of th build was the mindset of Brandi Rhodes. Allie would have to deal with the distraction of Awesome Kong at ringside. Brandi would use that distraction to her advantage. Brandi would try to control much of the matchup. And as soon as Allie would begin to mount a comeback, Awesome Kong would get involved. I love the character development of Allie over the last few years. And this matchup would see that with the facial expressions. Allie would deliver the BSE (Best Superkick Ever) and hit a Death Valley Driver. But upon the cover, Awesome Kong would aid Brandi in kicking out. Awesome Kong’s presence would give Brandi the victory.
Following the match, Brandi and Awesome Kong would attempt to attack Allie. But Allie would be saved by Aja Kong. And that should an incredible match.
WHAT IS AWESOME KONG DOING HERE 😱

3 Way Tag Team Match: Dark Order vs. Jack Evans & Angelico vs. Jungle Boy & Luchasauras
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 4/5
Predicted Winner: Luchasauras & Jungle Boy
Actual Winner: The Dark Order
The Dark Order would control much of the early part of this matchup. Once Jungle Boy got into the matchup the pace quicken. And the crowd would get hot when Luchasauras would get tagged. This match would see each team get an opportunity to shine and gain an advantage. For anyone that has never seen Luchasaruas, this was an incredible showing of his insane ability. But in the end, the Dark Order would take hold of the victory.

Kip Sabian vs. Hangman Adam Page
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 4.25/5
Predicted Winner: Hangman Adam Page
Actual Winner: Hangman Adam Page
Like a boxing match, the beginning moments of this contest were a feeling out process by both men. Hangman Page would be favoring the left knee throughout the contest. And the size advantage goes to Page. Adam would use that power to his advantage, but as the match continued, Sabian would pick up the pace. And the knee of Hangman would start playing more of a factor. Kip Sabian would spend most of the match attacking the injured left leg of Page. Hangman Adam Page would deliver a colossal diving moonsault from the top turnbuckle all the way to the outside. And upon impact, Page would be visibly in agony. But despite all the pain, Hangman Adam Page would be victorious.

SCU vs. Lucha Bros
Laracuente Ledger Ratings: 4.75/5
Predicted Winners: Lucha Bros
Actual Winners: Lucha Bros
This was an intriguing match for me because of the amazing talent of all four men. The spectacle that is Pentagon Jr is fantastic to witness. And when you look at the dynamic blend of the four men in the match can only be witnessed to be experienced. SCU would display the skills that make them such a great tag team. But the Lucha Bros would not be outdone. And this match must be witnessed to understand the experience fully.

CIMA vs. Kenny Omega
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 5.5/5
Predicted Winner: Kenny Omega
Actual Winner: Kenny Omega
This matchup was very intriguing from the outset because of the legendary status of both men. The speed and athleticism of both men were incredible to witness. I wish the words that I could pen to this paper could explain to you how captivating this matchup was, but it wouldn’t do it justice. What I will say is simply this, watch CIMA versus Kenny Omega.
How is @KennyOmegamanX still moving 🤭

Young Bucks vs. The Brotherhood
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 5.25/5
Predicted Winners: Young Bucks
Actual Winners:
This match would be a battle of brothers. The Brothers Jackson were taking on the Brothers Rhodes. Athleticism versus technique would be the principal bases of the encounter. And the four men in the ring were world class talents. Both sets of brothers would work well with one another. We would also see all the highlights from the two tandems as one would expect. The Natural Dustin Rhodes would be in the matchup the majority of the time taking damage. But Dustin would also show that he still has a lot left in the tank. The Elite (Cody & the Bucks) would be as spectacular as one would expect.

Fight for the Fallen Overall Rating: 4/5
AEW Fight for the Fallen was an excellent show. There were some highlights and some low lights in the ring. But the biggest highlight was the $150,000 donation made to the victims of gun violence in Jacksonville, Florida. The closing speech of Cody Rhodes was absolutely goosebump-inducing and amazing.
