AEW: 2 Exciting Matches for Double or Nothing

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is about to air their first pay-per-view event entitled “Double or Nothing.” And although this is just their first show, AEW is already being viewed as a huge competitor of the WWE by fans. All Elite Wrestling executives have stated that they aren’t worried about competing with WWE. But that AEW’s principal concern is establishing themselves and their own brand. And this Saturday begins that journey. So we will look at two matches to be excited about AEW Double it Nothing.

Omega vs. Jericho 2

Let’s start out hot, with a highly anticipated rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 12, Chris Jericho (Alpha) takes on Kenny Omega. The first contest between these two was a spectacle. (And one of our favorite matches from 2018.) And since the introductory press event in Las Vegas this match has been a focal point for Double or Nothing. Chris Jericho has proven to be the master of reinvention. As Jericho has been able to change his character just as it starts to feel stale. The last couple of years of Jericho’s career have arguably been the best years creatively. When you are able to get a clipboard more over than mid-card “Superstars” you know that you are a special talent.

And speaking of special talent, Kenny Omega is the absolute best in the world. (No matter what Shane McMahon wants to claim.) Kenny Omega has truly been a “Five-Star” hit making machine. And any matchup that he is involved in is a must watch. And with the fact that this is Jericho and Omega’s first match as a part of AEW, expect he and Jericho to bring the house down.

A Rhodes Tale

While some may not be intrigued by the aspect of Dusty’s son battling at Double of Nothing, I am very much looking forward to it. Cody put on a classic NWA matchup against Nick Aldis at All In. And I expect something similar to be the contest we see Saturday. Dustin Rhodes has long been an underrated performer in the wrestling business. And Cody has proven himself a true master of presentation. Both men will want to steal the show and honor their father. So the American Dream will live on this Saturday.
