The WWE Superstar Shakeup begins on the April 15th episode of Raw and concludes the following night on Smackdown Live. There are always surprises that happen during the Shakeup and this year should be no different. It’s with that idea in mind that we bring to you, 3 Predictions for the Superstar Shakeup.
Balor Club to Smackdown Live
Finn Balor was supremely successful as the Demon this past Sunday at WrestleMania. His reclamation of the WWE Intercontinental Championship should catalyze his move to Smackdown Live. We have seen the Mid-Card Champs swap brands during the last couple Superstar Shakeups. Finn Balor has put one pressure displays and epic performances but always seems lost in the mid-card shuffle. A move to Smackdown Live can reinvigorate the first ever WWE Universal Champion. It would also allow Balor to reconnect with Gallows and Anderson. And while they are currently in the “WWE doghouse” (for not resigning with WWE), a union with Finn could bring about a breath of fresh air for the Balor character.
Phenomenal One to Raw
Smackdown Live is the house that AJ Styles built. But at this point how much more is there for Styles to accomplish on Smackdown Live? If we are taking an honest look, not much (if anything) at all. So moving the Phenomenal One to Monday Night Raw can give him a fresh feeling. And much like with Finn Balor, a sense of reinvigoration. Having the master of the Phenomenal Forearm squaring off with new opponents on Raw would bring about new and exciting storylines. AJ Styles act on Smackdown Live hasn’t felt exciting since before his feud with Samoa Joe. So moving him to Raw gives new opportunities to realize once again why he is the Phenomenal One.
Sami Zayn to Smackdown Live, Joins up with Daniel Bryan
Sami Zayn returned on the infamous Raw after WrestleMania (also appeared on Smackdown Live.) Sami is taking on a new character with a nature contrarian to the fans. And while not exactly the same message as Daniel Bryan, their words echo similar tones. Moving Sami over to Smackdown and adding pairing him with Bryan, and Rowan increases the imposing nature of the group.
