This would be the first televised edition of Starrcade under the WWE banner ever. And while the one hour program would not feature every contest that the live audience in attendance witnessed. The matches seen on the event would be shortened version to fit the one-hour time slot the WWE would advertise for the network aired event.
Elias Performance w/ Ric Flair
As usual with an Elias performance and he would be interrupted. And interrupted by Nia Jax, Tamina, Alicia Fox, and Mickie James.

US Title Match: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rey Mysterio
The match would begin with Nakamura attacking Rey before the match even got underway. The two men would exchange blows until a Seated Senton to the outside onto the Miz would cause Miz to retaliate and end that match in Disqualification.

Miz and Nakamura would attack Rey leading to Rusev coming out to make the save. An impromptu tag team match would be made.
The Miz & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rey Mystero Jr & Rusev w/ Lana
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 🌟🌟🌟
A solid match between very good workers in the WWE. Again just to reiterate the matches that aired on the WWE network were not aired in their entirety. And also more matches took place on the live card. Aside from the brevity of the aired match, it was good and the crowd seemed into the matchup.
Looks like @reymysterio and @RusevBUL weren't going to let @mikethemiz and @ShinsukeN walk out of #WWEStarrcade… pic.twitter.com/eEpIW4FFKV

Steel Cage: Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles
Laracuente Ledger Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
As is to be expected with these two men this match delivered in every aspect. Samoa Joe would utilize his power and AJ would use his speed. The cage would play a factor for both men.

Starrcade Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 1/3
Overall it was a nice event. Although I would have preferred to have been able to watch the entire event live. The matches showcased were a nice enough sample. The WWE should bring back Starrcade in its full glory instead of continuing to use Pay-Per-Views named after gimmick matches. WCW and even ECW shows like Starrcade, Halloween Havoc, and even something like Guilty as Charged would be better than TLC, Hell in a Cell and Money in the Bank. But again as far as the three matches we got on this abbreviated card it was an ok show.
