This is the type of offensive output that Yankee fans have been waiting for since the season began. And it is a welcomed sight as the defense has not been the best in the early going. And that aspect will need to improve but if the offense can keep clicking. And if the starters can continue giving solid outings this Yankee ballclub can be a very special team.
Tonight Sonny Gray is on the mound and it will be a different test as Sonny has not been great since arriving in the Bronx at the 2017 trade deadline. However, if Gray can regain his “Oakland Ace” form he can provide the Yankees with an extra layer of depth and dominance that a championship caliber team like the Yankees will need. Tonight, Sonny looks to take up that mantle and begin to regain his brilliance.
