Wrestlemania is only a few short weeks away and it is shaping up the have some awesome matches but also some matches that I have no true interest in. It’s sad but when fans of the “sports entertainment” world are supposed to be focused on the biggest and best show of the year I for one and finding it hard to get excited.
Yes there are some matches that will absolutely be incredible to watch no better yet to witness. The spectacle that will be AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura will be a show of what’s great about the wrestling business. This will be something that when we look back on we will be grateful that we were able to “witness” the majestic contest that the to pro wrestling legends Styles & Nakamura will give us.
But then there will be contests that I have no interest in whatsoever like Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns yet again. This match will be a hard hitting affair and after all of the kayfabe “shoot promos” that have been going on it’s going to be booked as if it’s “personal” when it’s not.
Wrestlemania is going to have somethings that are questionable, things like having Braun Strowman (who will probably be teaming with Elias) win a number one contendership to the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.
The WWE needs to listen to the fans. The Universal Championship match for Wrestlemania should have been Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. If you want Roman on the card he could have teamed with Seth and challenged The Bar for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.
I hope that the WWE can pull out some surprises but I’m not sure what will actually be in store as another match on the card I would have loved to see five to ten years ago, The Undertaker vs John Cena. Cena and Taker have been two of the most important and influential wrestlers in the history of the entire history of professional wrestling. But this match is not going to showcase what these men have meant to the business or to WWE.
It is Wrestlemania and the WWE Superstars both male and female will absolutely bring their best. And there are still a few more weeks left so the storylines may start to clear up for the undercard matches and it will be fascinating to see what other matches develop. We have been teased with a Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax WWE RAW Women’s title match. Charlotte Flair vs Asuka
