So today is the WWE Royal Rumble event and before this event unfolded I just wanted to put out a wishlist for this event. 5 things that are unlikely to happen that I wish as a life long WWE fan would happen. Some may seem like genuine possibilities while other true and complete long shots. So let’s get right to it.
#1 BRING BACK CM PUNK & AJ LEE
File this under the completely a “PipeDream” category as this will probably never happen but this my wish list . If the WWE somehow managed to bring back “wrestling greatest couple” they would be met with a complete and resounding ovation that would shake the world. Punk and AJ were arguably to two most popular wrestlers in the company at the time of their departures. And fans have been clamoring for them back ever since. Â It’s been documented all over that it wasn’t a clean breakup between CM Punk and WWE and thus a long shot. But if somehow, someway the WWE could it needs CM Punk and AJ Lee back in WWE.
#2 FINN BALOR WINS MEN’S ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH
Balor won the first ever WWE Universal Championship and had to relinquish due to injury and since his return has not been booked properly at all. Having Balor win the Men’s Royal Rumble match can give Balor the opportunity to regain the title he never truly lost. Which leads to my next point.
#3 BROCK LESNAR RETAINS BUT GETS A BALOR CLUB BEATDOWN
Since debuting in WWE Gallows & Anderson have been given some pretty pathetic storylines and haven’t been given anything they could really sink their teeth into. So when the first episode on Monday Night Raw of 2018 had the “Band Get Back Together” the world was legitimately excited. But yet again, WWE disappoints and doesn’t give us a real Balor Club. So here’s how to do it we all know the WWE is saving Brock Lesnar for the “Big Dog” Roman Reigns….crickets….crickets…sigh…(rage building)…..AAAHHHHH WWWHHHHYYYY!!!!!! Yes here we go again we’ve seen this movie it happen the last time the Rumble was in Philly. So why not break the tedious and predictable cycle WWE and give us a feud we can believe in. Give us the guy we want pushed. Mr McMahon said Finn wasn’t “OVER”, then Vince hasn’t been watching Monday Night RAW because anytime Balor has been on screen the crowd pops for him. Having the Balor Club attack Brock Lesnar would build the Balor Club into the heel type faction they thrive in being. The Balor Club needs to become the predecessor it was intended to copy, so why not start at the expense of the Champion.
#4 DANIEL BRYAN GETS INVOLVEDÂ
Now this one is one that could possibly happen. Daniel Bryan by most reports has been cleared by several medical professionals outside of WWE. So if WWE were to reevaluate Bryan it is conceivable that he could return and what better way to return than as a “Surprise” entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
 AND #5 THE WWE DEBUTS OF ADAM COLE, IVELISSE VELEZ & THE CLEANER KENNY OMEGA
Now again this is unlikely for 2 of the 3 performers shown as both Ivelisse and Kenny Omega are employed by other companies at the present moment, but just like with CM Punk & AJ Lee a fan can dream. Adam Cole Bay Bay has a real possibility of showing up and debuting at the Rumble.
Just a few things I would love to see happen tonight at the Royal Rumble.
